Derbyshire Lost | Gold 13

In place of today’s 365 image I’m returning the Lost | Gold feature for the first time since December 2012. This image was taken in October 2008 at Padley Gorge, sadly it only exists in a low resolution form now but I hope to return this spring to update the album.

The unnatural looking colours are totally untouched thanks to the low autumn sun that afternoon and a very spongy moss type grass.

Taken in October 2009 this image of curling leaves and a spiders web wrapped around them reminded me of the film The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Derbyshire Lost | Gold 7

Shot in October 2008. One morning I was woken early and unable to sleep again decided to throw on some clothes jump in the car and capture a sunrise. As I lived less than 5 miles from Linacre woods and reservoir I thought it would be the perfect place to visit, though I was a little under dressed and unprepared for just how cold clear autumn mornings can be. Much of the area was covered in dew and even better a layer of ice covered the walk way which goes around the top (third) reservoir.

The full quality version of this image has since been lost and now only exists in a lower quality form, however please do click here to view in lightbox mode on Flickr.
